Knockers
193-7
Wrotham
190-9
Despite a seven wicket haul for promising youngster Guthrie Miller Knockers failed to force a win against Wrotham.
A depleted Knockers side played above themselves in an exciting, well contested game. Put into bat, Knockers were given a solid start with Andrew Stevens (24) and Peter Smith (43) putting on 46 for the first wicket.
Two wickets then fell quickly but man of the match G Miller scored a swift 34 while Stuart Seldon held the remaining order together, finishing with a well deserved 56 not out enabling Knockers to declare at 193-7.
Wrotham in reply struggled against the bowling of Stevens (1-22) and Miller succumbing to 45-4 but then a revival was staged by Wrotham bringing the home side to within striking distance of the Knockers total.
Miller (Jnr) was brought back, joining his father Keith in a father and son attack and finished with the impressive figures of 7-39. Wrotham offered a spirtied attack in the last over but fell 3 runs short of their target.
