Match Report

Knockers secured a winning draw on Sunday against Coleman's Hatch after a good batting performance. Invited to bat first, the team got off to a good start through Paul Styles (48) and Simon Slater (52), with both batsmen finding the boundary regularly. The good work was continued by a more watchful innings from Geoff Smith (46) and runs from Ben Cobb (23). The innings was rounded off by a blitz from Dan Turner (36 from 12 balls) as Knockers were able to declare on 258-7.

In reply, T Singer (69) got the hosts off to a good start but the momentum could not be sustained. Knockers in turn could not take the wickets to record victory and the game finished as a draw with the home team on 201-3. The wicket takers were Ben Cobb (1-42), Ed Darry (1-49) and Ken Cowan (1-25).
